About Us

We build simple, honest tools that make a confusing topic — how many calories you actually need — clear in about a minute.

Why we made this

Most weight-loss math is buried in jargon or locked behind an app signup. We wanted a free calculator that asks a few plain questions and gives you a real, personalized number you can actually act on — your daily calories, a realistic timeline, and a goal date — without the runaround.

How it works

The calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, a widely used, research-backed method for estimating how much energy your body needs, combined with your activity level and a sustainable pace. It's the same approach dietitians and trainers use as a starting point.

Important: We're a calculator, not a clinic. Our results are educational estimates, not medical advice. We build in safe minimums and won't show plans below a healthy range — but always talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing how you eat or exercise.
